- Club members for opening their homes to exchange students during the District Youth Exchange interviews.
- Brian Michaels Challenge – Nora Michaels, Brian’s widow, was a guest of our Club this past Tuesday. Nora challenged the Club to remember Brian’s love for education and books by making a commitment to the Dolly Parton “Imagination Library” Book Program. In addition to Nora’s initial donation, our Club donated $100 in Brian’s memory and will be discussing further commitment at our 11/18 Board meeting. Members will be hearing more from the President and Board on how our Club can meet Nora’ challenge. 20th Meeting of President Gary
Thank you to our speaker on Tuesday, Tommy Taylor, the Alligator Wrestler. What a great presentation. Robbie Fields, the program chair for November, out did himself. Mary Koshy was a good sport when she was asked to handle the gator. There may be a future in alligator wrestling for Mary.

Congratulations to John L. Mikell - DG Bill Griffin visited our club and presented a certificate to honor John for his membership in the Paul Harris Society. Paul Harris Society members donate $1,000 annually to The Rotary Foundation.
Jason Shaw of the Palatka Police Department was selected by the Rotary District 6970 to participate in Rotary's Group Study Exchange Program. Jason is a past recipient of our Club's S.T.E.P. award. Jason and his team will be traveling to the Netherlands in May 2009. Congratulation and best of luck to Jason.
