5th Meeting of President Gary

Thank you to our speakers Ann Briedstein and David Hoak of the United Way, also fellow Rotarians. They presented information pertaining to how St. Johns County United Way manages Putnam County United Way day-to-day operations. It was great to see such enthusiasm from our speakers.
Thank you to Brook Parker and Jonathan Biedenbach for their presentation on their RYLA experience. Keith Pierce could not be there with his fellow RYLA youth due to a conflict. Job well done and we look forward to watching how you progress academically and professionally. Thank you to Mike Register and our club's RYLA Committee for their helping with this project.

4th Meeting of President Gary

Our speaker for July 22 was Tim Parker, Putnam County Property Appraiser's Office. Tim did an excellent job in providing detailed information pertaining to Florida's "Tax Reform" and how it affects businesses and homeowners. With additional tax reform amendments on the November 2008 ballot, we will invite Tim back to give us an update. Thanks to the followign Rotarians for their help at the meeting:

3rd Meeting of President Gary

Thank you to our speaker for July 15. Harry Eaken, from the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. Harry presented information on the Palatka Main Street Program, which, encompasses downtown. Most of all, thank you to Doug Webb & Joe Maltby (Meeting set-up), Kerry Rowell (Greeter, Monthly Program Chair), Henry Hirschman (Pledge), Shann Purinton (Invocation), John Stephenson (Sgt-at-arms), and Mike Patterson and Jeannie Brown (Music). 2nd meeting of President Gary

President Gary returns from his vacation sporting a new beard!

District Governor (DG) Bill Griffin was present to share the goals and focus of Rotary for the coming year as we Make Dreams Real. DG Bill has been a member of the Daytona Beach West Rotary Club since 1997 and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Also in attendance was Assistant District Governor (ADG) Bill Hamilton. The Assistant DG helps the District Governor during the year. Bill is from the St. Augustine Sunrise Club.
